Panaji: The North Goa district magistrate has constituted a four-member district committee to audit examination centres for tests conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) ahead of the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination scheduled for June 21.
Committee Composition
North Goa deputy collector Ishwar Madkaikar has been appointed as the chairperson of the committee. The other members include Shaikh M Salim, deputy superintendent of police for Pernem taluka; Sham Bharat Nikum, principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya, INS Mandovi, Verem; and Rita Fatima F E Caldeira, deputy education officer of the central education zone in Panaji.
Tasks and Responsibilities
The committee has been tasked to visit the designated examination centres as per the list provided by the NTA, conduct a thorough physical audit, and submit a detailed report. The audit aims to ensure that all centres meet the required standards for conducting the examination smoothly and securely.
This proactive step by the district administration underscores the importance of maintaining integrity and transparency in the examination process. The committee will assess infrastructure, security arrangements, and other logistical aspects to prevent any malpractices.
