NCET 2026 Results Announced by NTA

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the results and NTA scores for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) held on June 4, 2026. The NCET 2026 examination was conducted on April 17 and 18 in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across 145 cities nationwide. This examination is conducted on behalf of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and serves as the gateway for admission to teacher education courses offered by selected Central and State universities, as well as premier institutions including IITs, NITs, Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs), and government colleges.

Registration and Attendance Statistics

According to official figures released by the NTA, a total of 73,608 candidates registered for the NCET 2026 examination, while 58,995 candidates actually appeared. The attendance rate stood at 80.14 percent, indicating a significant turnout among registered aspirants.

Extensive Subject Choices Offered

Candidates were offered a wide array of 66 subjects, including 38 languages, 26 domain-specific subjects, Teaching Aptitude, and the General Test. To accommodate the diverse academic preferences of candidates, the NTA administered 141 unique question papers and a total of 982 question papers across various combinations and languages. Altogether, the examination involved more than 22,000 language-based questions. The multilingual format was designed to ensure that candidates from different regions of the country could attempt the examination in a language they were comfortable with, making the process more inclusive and accessible.

Answer Key Challenges Reviewed Before Result

Before the declaration of results, the NTA provided candidates with an opportunity to review their recorded responses and challenge the provisional answer keys. The challenge window remained open from April 28 to April 30, 2026. All objections submitted online were examined by subject experts. Following this review process, final answer keys were prepared and used for the evaluation of candidates. The agency clarified that the results have been compiled strictly on the basis of the final answer keys approved by the expert panel.
