NEET Aspirant Critically Injured Near Tracks in Guna

Bhopal: A 19-year-old NEET aspirant was discovered in a critical condition near railway tracks beneath an overbridge in Guna, approximately 180 kilometers north of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh police reported on Saturday. An elderly passerby spotted the teenager in the morning and alerted nearby residents, who then informed the police and rushed her to a private hospital. Police officials stated that she was not in a fit state to provide a statement.

Investigation Underway

Investigators revealed that the girl had allegedly been scolded by family members regarding her studies just hours before she was found near the tracks. “An investigation is underway and all aspects are being looked into,” said Guna Superintendent of Police Hitika Vasal.

Context of NEET-UG Retest

This incident occurs as students prepare for a fresh NEET-UG examination scheduled for June 21. The National Testing Agency (NTA) canceled the original May 3 test on May 12 following allegations of widespread malpractice and a paper leak. Over 22 lakh students had appeared for the earlier exam.
