GJUST Hisar Launches Bhagavad Gita Integrated Degree 2026-27

Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST), Hisar, has officially announced the commencement of admissions for undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and integrated UG-PG programmes for the academic session 2026-27. The online application process for regular courses will begin on May 4, 2026.

Admission Portal Launch

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Narsi Ram Bishnoi formally launched the admission portal on Saturday, marking the start of the application cycle. In a significant academic initiative, Prof. Bishnoi revealed that the university will introduce India's first integrated degree programme based on the Bhagavad Gita from the upcoming session. This pioneering course aims to blend Indian knowledge systems, ethical values, and modern education, fostering holistic development among students.

Industry-Oriented Programmes

The vice-chancellor emphasized that all courses offered by GJUST are designed to be industry-oriented and aligned with global demands. The university will offer a wide array of programmes in 2026-27, including MTech, MBA, MCA, MPharm, BPharm, BTech, BSc, MSc, MA, MCom, BA LLB (Hons), BVoc, and nursing courses. Disciplines span engineering, management, pharmacy, sciences, commerce, law, mass communication, and information technology.

Select BTech programmes will also be available in Hindi medium, along with specialized courses tailored for working professionals. In line with the National Education Policy (NEP-2020), the university has introduced several integrated programmes such as BSc-MSc and BA-MA across multiple disciplines.

Application Details and Eligibility

Detailed information regarding seats, eligibility criteria, counselling schedules, and fee structure will be available in the university prospectus for 2026-27. The prospectus can be accessed on the official website from May 4. Admissions to BTech, BPharm, and related lateral entry programmes will be conducted through online counselling by the Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES), Panchkula.

Prof. Bishnoi stated that the introduction of the Bhagavad Gita-based programme reflects the university's commitment to integrating traditional wisdom with contemporary education, preparing students for global challenges while nurturing ethical leadership.
