Kochi Student Receives Presidential Invitation for Republic Day Honour
Madhav A Nair, a Class XI computer science student from Kochi, received a special invitation from the President of India. The young innovator will attend the prestigious 'At Home' reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan on January 26.
Formal Delivery of Presidential Invite
Local postman Vishnu S R and assistant superintendent of Post Office A P Rumeela personally delivered the invitation to Madhav's residence in Manjummel on Tuesday. The formal document recognized Madhav's various projects completed under the Atal Innovation Mission.
"It is a great honour to be invited by the President of India," said Madhav. He explained that the invitation specifically mentioned his projects developed over several years.
Among Select Group of Student Innovators
Madhav represents one of only six students nationwide selected as Ingenious Tinkerers. These exceptional young minds will participate in the reception hosted by President Draupadi Murmu. Additionally, Madhav and his classmate Jiss Jayson belong to a group of 100 students invited to attend the main Republic Day function.
Proven Track Record of Innovation
Madhav's journey as an innovator began early. At just 13 years old, the Atal Innovation Mission and Niti Aayog recognized him as one of India's top 20 student innovators. His projects focus on creating social impact solutions that address real-world problems.
The young developer has created several notable innovations:
- Pockmed: An advanced digital management application for medical records and doctor consultations
- Poshtrack: A system designed to detect malnutrition
- Sign Sense: A communication tool developed for deaf and mute individuals
Professional Recognition and Development
These innovative projects have received official acceptance into the STEAMCUBE Go-To-Market Track. This program provides professional iteration and scaling opportunities for promising innovations. Beyond his project work, Madhav has established himself as a full-stack developer with additional expertise in DevOps and Cloud technologies.
Madhav studies at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Kadavanthra in Kochi. His presidential invitation marks a significant milestone in his growing career as a young innovator contributing to India's technological advancement.
