M-Fiesta 2026 Set to Transform Sirsa University into a Hub of Festive Energy
The Institute of Business Management at JCD University in Sirsa is poised to host its much-anticipated annual cultural and sports festival, M-Fiesta 2026, on March 17 and 18. This vibrant two-day event promises to be a spectacular showcase of student talent and creativity, drawing participants and attendees from across the region.
Grand Inauguration and Day One Highlights
On Monday, March 17, the festival will kick off with an exciting off-roading event, followed by a series of cultural programmes. The inauguration ceremony will be graced by Prof Dr Vijay Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of Chaudhary Devi Lal University in Sirsa, who will officially declare the festival open. Throughout the day, students will engage in various competitions, including fine arts, dance, and music, allowing them to display their artistic prowess. The evening will feature a mesmerizing performance by renowned Punjabi Sufi singer Kanwar Grewal, adding a soulful touch to the festivities.
Day Two: Cultural Extravaganza and Star Performances
The second day, March 18, will continue with a rich lineup of cultural activities, including a glamorous ramp walk competition. Dr Harleen Kaur from CGC University in Mohali will attend as the chief guest, lending her support to the event. As the day progresses, the atmosphere will heat up with performances by popular Haryanvi artists Masoom Sharma and Shiva Chaudhary, ensuring an energetic and entertaining conclusion to the festival.
Student-Led Initiatives and Preparations
At a recent press conference, Dr Jai Parkash, Director General of JCD Vidyapeeth, emphasized that M-Fiesta aims to foster talent and boost confidence among students. He highlighted that all events are meticulously organized by the students themselves, providing them with valuable leadership and management experience. To accommodate the expected crowd, seating arrangements for approximately 2,000 people have been made, and attractive prizes will be awarded to winners across various competitions, motivating participants to excel.
Secretary Dr Sudhanshu Gupta and college principals also joined in outlining the festival schedule, underscoring the university's commitment to holistic development. M-Fiesta 2026 is not just a celebration but a platform for young minds to shine, blending cultural richness with sporting spirit in the heart of Sirsa.
