MPPSC Launches Final Selection for State Engineering Service 2024
The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission has officially started the final selection process for the State Engineering Service Examination 2024. This crucial phase involves personal interviews scheduled for later this month. Candidates who successfully cleared the assistant engineer civil examination will now face interviews on January 20 and 21, 2026. All interviews will take place at the commission's office located in Bhopal.
Interview Schedule and Admit Card Details
According to officials from MPPSC, admit cards for the interviews will be available for download starting January 16. Candidates must obtain their admit cards exclusively from the commission's official website. The commission has issued strict instructions for all shortlisted candidates. They are required to report at least one hour before their scheduled interview time. Mandatory reporting is fixed at 9.30 am each day. MPPSC made it clear that late reporting will not be entertained under any circumstances.
Recruitment Posts and Category Breakdown
Under the State Engineering Service 2024, recruitment will be carried out for a total of 23 posts. This includes 20 assistant engineer civil posts and 3 posts in the electrical and mechanical engineering stream. The distribution of the 20 civil posts is as follows:
- 7 posts are earmarked for the general category
- 8 posts for OBC candidates
- 3 posts for scheduled tribes
- 1 post for scheduled caste candidates
- 1 post for EWS candidates
Previous Examination Process
The written examination for this service was conducted on August 24, 2025. Evaluation of answer sheets was completed within two months, and the results were officially declared on October 30, 2025. For civil engineering, 68 candidates were placed on the main merit list, while 17 candidates found a place on the provisional list.
Interview Panels and Document Verification
To ensure a smooth and efficient interview process, MPPSC constituted two-member interview panels. Approximately 40 candidates will be interviewed each day during the scheduled dates. Candidates must bring original certificates for verification purposes. Required documents include educational qualifications, caste certificates, income proofs, and other necessary papers as specified by the commission.
Separate Interviews for Electrical and Mechanical Posts
Interviews for the 3 electrical and mechanical engineering posts will be held separately on January 22, 2026. For these positions, 10 candidates have been shortlisted to appear before the interview panels.
New Homoeopathy Medical Officer Examination 2025
In addition to the engineering service recruitment, MPPSC has issued a notification for the Homoeopathy Medical Officer Examination 2025. This examination aims to fill 34 vacant posts in government hospitals across Madhya Pradesh. The online application process will begin on March 13 and continue until April 12. The examination itself is scheduled for June 7 at centers in Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, and Jabalpur. Admit cards for this exam will be released starting May 28.
Vacancy Distribution and Late Fee Details
The 34 vacancies for Homoeopathy Medical Officer include:
- 11 posts for general category
- 9 posts for OBC candidates
- 6 posts for scheduled tribes
- 5 posts for scheduled castes
- 3 posts for EWS candidates
Candidates will be allowed to submit applications with a late fee under specific conditions. A late fee of Rs 3,000 can be paid between April 13 and 19. For submissions from April 20 to May 13, the late fee increases to Rs 25,000.
