Ranchi District Administration Announces Major Upgrade for Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Residential School

The Ranchi district administration has unveiled ambitious plans to significantly upgrade and enhance the facilities at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Residential School located in the Bariatu area. This important announcement was made by District Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri during his visit to the educational institution on Friday.

Administrative Visit Coincides with Freedom Fighter's Birth Anniversary

DC Bhajantri visited the school to participate in a special program commemorating the birth anniversary of the legendary freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. During this significant occasion, the district commissioner was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police Rakesh Ranjan, with both officials actively participating in the Saraswati Puja celebrations organized at the school premises.

Comprehensive Assessment and Immediate Action Promised

While addressing the student body, DC Bhajantri took the opportunity to learn about the various challenges and issues facing the school. After listening carefully to the concerns raised, the district commissioner made a firm commitment to take immediate and effective action to address these problems.

The administrative team conducted a thorough inspection of multiple school facilities, including:

  • The student hostel accommodations
  • The school kitchen and dining facilities
  • Various other premises within the school compound

Strategic Planning for Infrastructure Development

Following the detailed inspection, DC Bhajantri issued specific directives to District Education Officer Badal Raj. The education officer has been tasked with preparing a comprehensive and detailed plan focused on upgrading the hostel facilities and improving other essential amenities within the school.

The district commissioner revealed that currently, 157 students are enrolled at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Residential School. He particularly emphasized the special circumstances of nine children who don't have biological parents, instructing teachers to provide extra care and attention to ensure these students don't experience feelings of isolation or neglect.

Holistic Development Initiatives

In addition to infrastructure improvements, the administration has already taken steps to enhance the students' educational experience. The school has been provided with musical instruments to help students develop new skills and explore creative avenues beyond traditional academic subjects.

Inspirational Guidance from Senior Police Official

SSP Rakesh Ranjan offered motivational advice to the students during the visit. He encouraged them to cultivate strong willpower and determination rather than focusing solely on resource limitations. Sharing his personal journey, Ranjan revealed that he received his primary education through the Jharkhand Academic Council board system.

Despite what some might consider educational limitations, SSP Ranjan emphasized how continuous hard work and unwavering determination enabled him to achieve his goal of becoming an Indian Police Service officer. His message underscored the importance of perseverance and self-belief in overcoming challenges and achieving success.

The district administration's proactive approach signals a renewed commitment to improving educational infrastructure and student welfare in Ranchi's government residential schools.
