The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has officially unveiled the examination calendar for the Telangana Common Entrance Tests (TG CETs) for the academic session 2026-27. This crucial schedule paves the way for lakhs of aspirants seeking admission into various professional undergraduate and postgraduate courses across the state.

The computer-based entrance tests are slated to be held over a month-long period, commencing in early May 2026. The tests will run from May 4 to June 3, 2026, and will be conducted at various centers spread across Telangana. The responsibility of conducting different examinations has been delegated to specific state universities.

Here is the detailed breakdown of the schedule as announced by the council:

TG EAPCET: For admissions into BE, BTech, BPharmacy, and Pharm D courses, this test will be conducted by JNTU Hyderabad. The examination for Agriculture and Pharmacy streams is scheduled for May 4 and 5, 2026, while the Engineering stream tests will be held on May 9, 10, and 11, 2026.

TG EDCET: Kakatiya University will oversee the Bachelor of Education (BEd) entrance test on May 12, 2026.

TG ICET: Aspirants for MBA and MCA programmes will appear for the test conducted by Mahatma Gandhi University on May 13 and 14, 2026.

TG ECET: Osmania University will manage the lateral entry examination for engineering and pharmacy courses on May 15, 2026.

Law, PG Engineering, and Physical Education Tests

The entrance tests for law programmes will see TG LAWCET for 3-year and 5-year LLB courses on May 18, 2026. The TG PGLCET for LLM admissions will also be conducted by Osmania University.

For postgraduate engineering and pharmacy admissions, JNTU Hyderabad will conduct TG PGECET for ME, MTech, MPharm, and Pharm D (PB) courses from May 28 to 31, 2026.

The examination cycle will conclude with the TG PECET for BPED and UGDPED programmes. Satavahana University will hold this test, which includes physical efficiency and skill assessments, from May 31 to June 3, 2026.

The TGCHE has clarified that detailed notifications concerning eligibility criteria, the online application process, and registration fees will be issued separately by the respective conveners of each Common Entrance Test in the coming months. The council has also made an appeal to both electronic and print media outlets to provide wide publicity to the announced schedule to ensure all prospective students are informed.
