The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has officially declared the Higher Secondary (HS) or Uccha Madhyamik examination results for the year 2026. Students who appeared for the exams can now check their results on the official website at result.wb.gov.in. The announcement was made earlier today, bringing an end to the anxious wait for thousands of students across the state.
How to Check WBCHSE HS Result 2026
To view your result, follow these simple steps:

- Click on the link for 'WBCHSE HS Result 2026'
- Enter your roll number and other required credentials
- Your result will be displayed on the screen
- Download and take a printout for future reference
Alternatively, students can also check their results via SMS or through the council's official mobile app. The result page will show subject-wise marks, total marks, and the overall grade.
Pass Percentage and Toppers
This year, the overall pass percentage for the WBCHSE HS examination stands at 85.6%, marking a slight increase from the previous year. Among the streams, the Science stream recorded the highest pass percentage at 89.2%, followed by Commerce at 84.5% and Arts at 82.1%. The top three toppers from each stream have been highlighted on the official website. Notably, the overall topper is Ananya Das from Kolkata, who scored 495 out of 500 marks (99%). The second and third positions are held by Rohan Sen and Priya Mukherjee, with 493 and 491 marks respectively.
Important Information for Students
Students are advised to check their results carefully and contact their respective schools or the council in case of any discrepancy. The council has also announced that supplementary examinations will be held in August 2026 for those who have not cleared all subjects. The schedule for supplementary exams will be released separately. Additionally, students can apply for re-evaluation of answer scripts within 15 days from the date of result declaration.
