ABVP Calls for Immediate Action to Safeguard Campus Peace at Allahabad University
The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), representing the Allahabad University unit, formally presented a memorandum to the university administration on Monday. The document strongly emphasizes the critical need to uphold peace, social harmony, and academic dignity across the campus premises.
Preserving the Sanctity of Education
In their submission, the student organization articulated that Allahabad University stands as a temple of knowledge, where discipline, mutual respect, and a conducive educational atmosphere must be protected at all costs. The memorandum was delivered directly to Atul Narayan, the AU Proctor, urging the administration to implement decisive measures against any actions that threaten campus unity.
Addressing Recent Disruptions
The ABVP highlighted specific recent incidents that, according to their claims, have been negatively impacting the academic environment. Kavyanshi Kumari, the Unit Secretary of ABVP, alleged that over the past several days, certain anarchist elements have attempted to disrupt the campus atmosphere, a move the organization firmly condemns.
Kumari stated that the memorandum aims to ensure mutual harmony prevails and to prevent such disruptive activities from taking root within the university community.
Demand for Unity and Immediate Halt
Prashansa Jatav, the AU Unit SHoDH Convener, clarified that ABVP has explicitly demanded an immediate cessation of all endeavors aimed at fragmenting the unity among students, faculty, and staff. The delegation presenting the memorandum included key ABVP figures such as unit president Himanshu Pandey, unit secretary Kavyanshi Kumari, unit research convener Prashansa Jatav, unit joint secretary Anurag Mishra, along with other active members of the organization.
This collective action underscores ABVP's commitment to fostering a stable and respectful academic setting, free from disturbances that could undermine the university's educational mission.
