BTEUP Declares Odd Semester Results, Takes Strict Action Against Cheating

Examination Committee Approves Results After Review
The decision to release the results followed a crucial meeting of the Examination Committee. The Director of Technical Education for Uttar Pradesh, based in Kanpur, chaired this meeting. Committee members carefully reviewed the examination outcomes before making their recommendations.
These recommendations went to the Chairman of the Board of Technical Education and the Additional Chief Secretary of the Technical Education Department. Both officials granted their final approval on the very same day, allowing for the immediate release of results.

Board Withholds Results of 55 Students for Unfair Means
In a significant development, the Examination Committee has taken strict action against examination misconduct. The results of fifty-five students remain withheld. These candidates faced accusations of using unfair means during their exams.
The committee attached a separate list containing the names of these students. A final decision on their cases will come later. Until then, their results stay on hold pending further orders from the board.
Zero Marks Awarded for Prohibited Practices
The Examination Committee made its stance on cheating very clear. During the evaluation of 644 answer scripts, examiners discovered a serious violation. Some students had written their mobile phone numbers on their answer sheets.
This practice is absolutely prohibited under examination rules. After careful consideration, the committee decided to impose a strict penalty. These students received zero marks in the specific subjects where they wrote their phone numbers.
The board published their results with this penalty already applied. This action underscores BTEUP's uncompromising, zero-tolerance policy towards any form of cheating or examination misconduct. The board remains committed to maintaining the integrity and fairness of its examination process.
