Delhi Nursery Admissions: Second Merit List Offers Hope for Parents
In New Delhi, parents whose children did not secure a seat in the first nursery admission list are now anxiously awaiting the second merit list, which is scheduled for release on Monday. This development comes as several schools are anticipated to have vacant seats due to withdrawals or non-reporting by previously selected candidates.
Eligibility Points Expected to Ease in Second Round
As a result of these vacancies, eligibility points may ease slightly in the upcoming round, providing renewed hope to families still in the race for admission. The Directorate of Education (DoE) will release the second merit list for admissions to nursery, kindergarten (KG), and Class I in Delhi schools. The list will be prepared through a lottery system and will be available online on the DoE's official website, edudel.nic.in.
How to Check Admission Results
Parents who applied for admission will be able to check the results once the list is published. Apart from the official portal, parents can also access admission results through the websites of the schools they applied to or by visiting the schools in person. Schools are expected to display the relevant information on their notice boards for applicants, ensuring transparency and easy access.
Objections and Queries Resolution Period
Following the release of the second merit list, parents who have any objections, queries, or concerns related to the admission process will be able to approach the concerned schools between February 10 and February 16 to seek resolution of their issues. This window allows for addressing any discrepancies or questions promptly.
Future Admission Lists and Final Deadline
If seats remain vacant after the completion of the second phase of admissions, the next merit list will be released on March 5. The DoE has fixed March 19 as the final date for completing the Delhi nursery admission process, ensuring a structured timeline for all stakeholders.
Required Documents for Admissions
For admissions, parents are required to submit essential documents to verify eligibility. These include:
- Proof of residence of the parents or child
- Voter ID card of either parent
- A ration card issued in the name of either parent with the child's name included
- Passport
- Electricity or telephone bill
- Aadhaar or UID cards of the parents
Submitting these documents is crucial for the admission process and helps in maintaining accurate records.
