Indore District Gears Up for Major MP Board Examinations
Indore district is set to host the Madhya Pradesh board examinations for the current academic year, with a massive turnout of over 89,000 students expected to participate. The examinations will be conducted across 138 designated centers throughout the district, marking a significant logistical and administrative undertaking.
Examination Schedule and Basic Facilities
The Class 12 board examinations are scheduled to commence on Tuesday, followed by the Class 10 exams starting from February 13. In preparation for this major event, exam center superintendents have received clear directives to prioritize basic amenities to ensure students can write their papers without any hindrance.
Essential facilities such as drinking water, proper seating arrangements, and fully functional classrooms have been made mandatory at all examination centers. In instances where furniture was found to be insufficient, principals have been instructed to arrange additional seating from nearby schools to accommodate all candidates comfortably.
District Education Officer Shanta Swami Bhargava emphasized the importance of these preparations, stating, "For uninterrupted power supply during the examination, a letter was sent to the power distribution company. The center heads and invigilators were asked to guide students before the exams, as many students get nervous."
Strict Examination Protocols and Security Measures
Authorities have implemented stringent rules to maintain the integrity of the examination process. Inside the centers, mobile phones and any materials that could facilitate cheating are strictly prohibited. Students must carry their admit cards at all times and adhere to instructions issued by invigilators.
To prevent disruptions, late entry may be restricted at examination centers, prompting officials to advise candidates to plan their travel in advance to avoid any last-minute complications.
Security arrangements have been significantly strengthened to safeguard the examination process. Question papers are being securely stored at designated police stations and will be transported under strict supervision on each examination day.
CCTV surveillance will cover sensitive centers, with videography recording the movement of question papers to ensure transparency. Additionally, flying squads will conduct random inspections during the exams to monitor compliance with regulations.

Each examination center will be monitored by a representative appointed by the district collector. These officials have undergone specialized training and are connected through the MP Board mobile app for real-time updates and coordination.

As the examination days approach, a mix of nervousness and quiet confidence is visible among students. For many, this represents their first major board examination, bringing both pressure and hope.
Several students reported that revision schedules, mock tests, and support from teachers have helped them feel prepared despite the inherent stress. Arjun Kale, a Class 10 candidate, shared, "There is tension at home, but I am focusing on one paper at a time."
Authorities have reviewed all preparations and are urging students to stay calm, follow guidelines diligently, and focus on their examination papers. The comprehensive arrangements aim to create a conducive environment for students to perform at their best during this crucial academic milestone.
