JEE Main 2026 Session-1 Results Announced by National Testing Agency

The National Testing Agency (NTA) officially declared the results for Paper 1 (BE/BTech) of the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2026 Session-1 on Monday. This crucial examination, which serves as a gateway for engineering admissions across India, was held in January across an extensive network of test centers.

Massive Scale and High Attendance

The examination was conducted on a grand scale, spanning 658 centers located in 326 cities nationwide, with an additional 15 international centers abroad. Out of the total 13,55,293 candidates who registered for the session, an impressive 13,04,653 candidates actually appeared for the test. This translates to a remarkable attendance rate of 96.26%, reflecting the high level of participation and commitment among aspirants.

Exceptional Performances and Perfect Scores

In a standout achievement, twelve candidates secured a perfect 100 percentile in the results, showcasing top-tier academic excellence. The NTA has clarified that the final All India Ranks for candidates will be determined after considering the best scores from both sessions of JEE Main 2026, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation.

Northeast Region Toppers Excel

The results also highlighted the stellar performances of toppers from the northeastern states of India, who achieved outstanding percentiles:

  • Assam: Yashraj Singh topped the state with a percentile of 99.9811354.
  • Tripura: Adriraj Saha scored 99.8611562 percentile.
  • Arunachal Pradesh: Aiman Tanish achieved 99.7366348 percentile.
  • Meghalaya: Vishnu Bhardwaj Upadhyay secured 98.9615457 percentile.
  • Manipur: Clinton Akoijam scored 98.8584081 percentile.
  • Nagaland: Khushi Sah attained 94.5171782 percentile.
  • Mizoram: Lallung Muana Khelte achieved 90.3855086 percentile.

These scores underscore the competitive spirit and academic prowess prevalent in the northeast region, contributing significantly to the national educational landscape.
