Providing specific numbers, Harjinder Singh stated that approximately 24.90 lakh students from 1,10,615 government and private schools and madrasas will appear for the exams this academic year. In a significant accommodation for linguistic diversity, separate question papers for language subjects have been prepared according to the NCERT syllabus for 20,736 students from 522 private schools.
