Madhya Pradesh Government Announces Second Correction Window for Teacher Exam Applications
The Madhya Pradesh government has once again activated the application correction facility for candidates registered for the upcoming Primary Teacher Selection Examination–2025. This decision, communicated through the Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI) in Bhopal, provides a limited opportunity for applicants to amend specific details via the official MP Online portal.
Scope and Limitations of the Correction Window
According to the official notification, this correction window is exclusively for modifications related to Column 7.7 of the application form. This column specifically concerns qualifications under the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) special education framework. No other sections or fields within the application will be editable during this period, ensuring the integrity of previously submitted data.
The correction portal will be accessible from February 4, 2026, to February 11, 2026, as per the DPI letter dated January 29, 2026. Candidates must utilize this seven-day window to make any necessary adjustments to their qualification declarations.
Background and Legal Context of the Examination Process
The application process for the Primary Teacher Selection Examination-2025 commenced on July 18, 2025, and concluded on August 25, 2025. Following the initial submission phase, the examination procedures advanced according to the scheduled timeline.
However, the application mechanism faced legal scrutiny after Writ Petition No. 42759/2025 was filed by Deepak Parmar at the Indore Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court. In response to the court's order dated December 15, 2025, authorities previously reopened the application portal for limited corrections, marking the first such intervention.
Guidelines for Candidates Making Corrections
Candidates are advised to carefully review their eligibility before making changes:
- Applicants with RCI-Recognized Special Education Qualifications: Individuals who hold a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) – Special Education recognized under RCI norms and are qualified to teach children with disabilities must select "Yes" in Column 7.7.
- All Other Applicants: Candidates who do not possess this specific qualification are required to select "No" in the same column to maintain accuracy in their application.
This targeted correction initiative aims to ensure that all candidate qualifications are accurately recorded, particularly concerning special education credentials, thereby aligning with both regulatory standards and the directives from the High Court.
