Patna University (PU) will release the second merit list of selected candidates on Sunday for admission to its four-year undergraduate programmes in arts, science and commerce against vacant seats.
PU dean of students’ welfare Kameshwar Pandit said candidates shortlisted in the list can take admission to their allotted colleges and preferred courses from Monday to Thursday.
Altogether 4,531 seats (regular and self-financed) are available across colleges, including Patna College, Patna Science College, B N College, Vanijya Mahavidyalaya and Magadh Mahila College. Nearly half of the sanctioned seats in regular courses were filled during the first round of admissions held last week. The remaining seats are expected to be filled in the second round beginning Monday, the dean said.
Meanwhile, the university has made arrangements for entrance tests for six undergraduate courses under the self-financed mode. Entrance exams for environmental science and biotechnology will be held on Monday, followed by BCA and BBA on Tuesday. Tests for BBA LLB and BFA will be conducted on Wednesday.
All exams will be held at Magadh Mahila College, Pandit added.
