RBSE Enhances Exam Security with Videography in 15 Districts

The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) has announced a significant security upgrade for the upcoming board examinations. As part of stringent measures, videography will be implemented at all exam centers across 15 specific districts during the RBSE exams this year. The examinations for both Class 10 and Class 12 are scheduled to commence from February 12, marking a crucial period for thousands of students across the state.

Districts Under Enhanced Surveillance

The board has identified 15 districts where this videography initiative will be enforced to ensure transparency and prevent malpractices. These districts include Dausa, Karauli, Sikar, Nagaur, Deedwana-Kuchaman, Jhunjhunu, Sawai Madhopur, Phalodi, Jodhpur, Jalore, Dholpur, Bharatpur, Deeg, Barmer, and Balotra. This targeted approach aims to address areas that may require additional monitoring based on past experiences or risk assessments.

Comprehensive Coverage of Exam Centers

Across Rajasthan, the RBSE has established a total of 6,193 exam centers to accommodate the large number of examinees. Among these, 20 centers have been classified as highly sensitive, while 31 are designated as sensitive. Officials have confirmed that videography will be conducted at these sensitive and highly sensitive centers as well, ensuring that no location is exempt from the enhanced security protocols.

Scope of Videography During Exams

A senior official from the RBSE elaborated on the extensive scope of the videography process. "Videography will cover retrieving of papers from the strongroom, opening of envelopes at the center, and distribution of question papers," the official stated. This comprehensive coverage is designed to monitor every critical step of the exam administration, from the secure handling of question papers to their final distribution to students, thereby minimizing opportunities for irregularities.

Special Measures in Phalodi District

In a notable addition, Phalodi district, which is the only district with standalone exam centers, will see further security enhancements. Alongside videography, CCTV monitoring of exams will also be implemented this year. This dual-layer surveillance underscores the board's commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process, particularly in areas that may present unique challenges or require extra vigilance.

The introduction of videography and CCTV monitoring reflects the RBSE's proactive stance in upholding the credibility of its board exams. By leveraging technology, the board aims to create a fair and secure environment for all students, ensuring that their hard work is evaluated without compromise. Parents, students, and educators are likely to welcome these measures as a step towards greater accountability and trust in the education system.
