In a significant boost to educational infrastructure, students at Sharada Zilla Parishad School in Chilakaluripeta, Vijayawada, now have access to a treasure trove of classic literature and a state-of-the-art computer facility. This transformation was completed in just nine days, following a promise made by Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan.
Promise Made and Delivered at Mega PTM
The initiative stems from Pawan Kalyan's participation in the Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) 2.0 held at the school. During his visit, he personally observed critical shortages in the school's resources. Noting the lack of adequate books in the library and computers in the lab, the Deputy CM made an on-the-spot commitment to address these gaps.
True to his word, the procurement process was swiftly set in motion. Within a remarkable span of nine days, the school received a substantial upgrade valued at Rs 25 lakh.
New Learning Resources for Students
The school library has been enriched with a wide range of new books. Students can now delve into classic story collections like Kasimajili Kathalu and other volumes designed to enhance storytelling skills and broaden general knowledge. This infusion of reading material is expected to foster a stronger reading culture among the young learners.
Simultaneously, the school's digital capabilities have received a major upgrade. An advanced computer lab, equipped with 25 new modern computers, has been established. This lab will provide students with hands-on experience and digital literacy skills essential for the 21st century.
Inauguration by Local Dignitaries
The newly enhanced school library and computer lab were formally inaugurated on the school premises on Monday. The ceremony was attended by key local officials, including Chilakaluripeta MLA Prattipati Pulla Rao, Palnadu District Collector Krithika Shukla, and Commissioner (Panchayat Raj and Rural Development) Krishna Teja.
This collaborative effort highlights a focused approach to improving the quality of education at the grassroots level. By providing both literary resources and modern technology, the initiative aims to create a more holistic and empowering learning environment for the students of Sharada Zilla Parishad School.
