Social Media Reviews

Several viewers praised the writing, performances, and emotional depth of the film. One Twitter review reads, 'A neatly crafted movie with well written characters and strong performances from everyone specially Farzana & Ammachi fairly engaging background score is so good. The second half of the movie felt bit lengthy and some lags.. the emotional bond between Tovino Thomas & the boy could have been better.. the climax gives you a satisfying experience Overall a DECENT FILM !! Rating : 3.25/5.'

Another viewer wrote on X, '#Balan - What a film! It's been a while I came out of a movie hall with so much satisfaction. Balan is one the film , thank you @chidaakasham for giving this gem. The treatment is in a thriller zone but deeper, the film tells you so many moral stories—how the life of the powerless can take unexpected turns and push them beyond boundaries. The journey of the mom and son by hiding their identities , saving each other in tough times and still going onward and upward is something that would brighten your so called dull day. Both Farzana and Adhisheh deserve all the awards, especially the latter just tugs your heart with his innocence and the former makes you root for her!'
