Jaideep Ahlawat joins Ajay Devgn in Drishyam 3

Following a string of successful projects, actor Jaideep Ahlawat is set for one of his most significant career moments. He will be sharing screen space with Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn in the much-anticipated thriller Drishyam 3, directed by Abhishek Pathak.

A Dream Collaboration Realised

This collaboration marks a full-circle moment for Ahlawat. In a viral social media clip from a 2023 Netflix interview with Rajeev Masand, the actor revealed his long-standing admiration for Devgn and Kajol. He recounted how he and his college friends were huge fans and even celebrated the couple's wedding day with cake. "In my first film, I worked with Ajay sir—it was a very small role and I wished that one day I get a chance to work with him again," Ahlawat had said.

He praised Devgn's humility and powerful screen presence, noting that no matter what he does in a scene, all eyes are inevitably drawn to him. This dream is now becoming a reality as he steps into a pivotal role in the third installment of the hit Drishyam franchise.

Stepping Into Big Shoes

Jaideep Ahlawat's role in Drishyam 3 holds special significance as he steps into the shoes previously occupied by actor Akshaye Khanna. Khanna reportedly exited the project due to personal reasons, creating the opportunity for Ahlawat to join the cast. This move comes on the heels of Ahlawat's acclaimed performances in projects like Pataal Lok, Jaane Jaan, Jewel Thief, Maharaj, and The Family Man.

Interestingly, Ahlawat's debut film after completing his acting course was Priyadarshan's Aakrosh (2010), which also starred Ajay Devgn. The upcoming film reunites them after over a decade.

What's Next for the Versatile Actor?

Beyond Drishyam 3, Jaideep Ahlawat's slate remains packed. His next release is director Sriram Raghavan's film Ikkis, where he will star alongside Amitabh Bachchan's grandson, Agastya Nanda. This project carries an emotional weight as it is the final film of veteran actor Dharmendra, who passed away recently. The makers are organizing a special screening for the Deol family in the coming days.

From a small role in his first film with his idol to now playing a key part in a major franchise, Jaideep Ahlawat's journey is a testament to his talent and perseverance, proving that dreams, indeed, can come true in Bollywood.
