Jason Shah, the actor recognized for his performances in 'Salaar', 'Thugs of Hindostan', and 'Heeramandi', has joined the cast of Vijay's upcoming movie 'Jana Nayagan'. He will play a significant role in this film, which marks Vijay's final project before he fully transitions into politics.
Shah's Experience with Vijay on Set
In a recent interview, Shah shared his thoughts on working alongside Thalapathy Vijay. He described the experience as deeply impactful. "Every time Vijay sir entered the sets, I sensed an energy I had never encountered before," Shah revealed. He expressed gratitude for being part of Vijay's last film, viewing it as a divine blessing.
"I consider the chance to participate in his final film a blessing from God," Shah stated. "I have followed Vijay sir's career since my youth, and his level of superstardom always exceeded my imagination."
Vijay's Political Journey
Shah also commented on Vijay's impending political career. He called the move bold and noted its grassroots approach. "It is very bold of him to step into politics, and his grassroots approach is a healthy sign," Shah said. He added that this shift represents a greater responsibility for Vijay and wished him success in his new endeavor.
A Break from British Officer Roles
Jason Shah, who has frequently portrayed British officers in past films, finally gets a change in 'Jana Nayagan'. He expressed relief at not wearing the service uniform this time. "I finally could wear something that wasn't a British officer uniform," he told the outlet. Shah mentioned that major portions of his role involve scenes with Prakash Raj and Bobby Deol.
Film's Release Status
Meanwhile, 'Jana Nayagan' faced delays due to censorship issues. Originally scheduled for a Pongal release, the film was postponed amid a row over certification. The producer has approached the Supreme Court to challenge an interim order from the Madras High Court that stayed the grant of CBFC certification. The makers are contesting this decision, and a new release date has not been announced yet.
