Gohil explained that Dhar was adamant about retaining every piece of researched information, refusing to compromise even when it meant extending the film's length.
"There's so much information in the film," Gohil shared. "Aditya was very strict about not getting rid of any detail. What we had at hand was hardcore research-based information. He said, 'Yeh sab dikhaana zaroori hai.' He didn't compromise on it. He was so tuned in all the way down to the minutest nitty-gritties of the storytelling. And people loved all of it."
The actor admitted that the production team often felt they had shot an excessive amount of footage, but Dhar remained firm in his vision to include everything, believing it was essential for the narrative's authenticity and depth.
Surprise Revelation of a Two-Part Franchise
Gohil also disclosed that he and the cast were unaware of the film being split into two parts until much later in the process. "We all felt ki humne bahot zyada shoot kar liya hai. Hum shoot kiye hi ja rahe the, kiye hi ja rahe the," he laughed. "We knew that it was going to turn out to be a long film but we didn't anticipate that it will be divided into two parts. We came to know of it when we were about to release the first film. That's when we got a sense and were officially told that 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' will also be released."
This revelation came as a surprise to many involved, highlighting the secretive and strategic planning behind the franchise's rollout.

The actor opened up about watching the film with his family, particularly his wife, actress Shweta Kawatra. "It was so difficult to watch it with Shweta," Gohil recalled. "She had so many questions to ask me. I had to tell her that she needs to let me watch the film first for me to understand and answer all her questions."
He humorously noted that after the film's release, he suddenly became "important" within his family circle, with everyone eagerly questioning him about the plot and his role during family dinners, a testament to the movie's widespread impact.

Gohil addressed a common point of feedback from fans regarding his limited screen time in the film. With a laugh, he said, "Mujhe bhi aisa hi laga ki mera screen time kam kyun hai. And though people reacted very sweetly to my scenes and they told me that they loved my performance, they asked me, aur bhi hai kya?" ("I also felt the same like, why is my screen time so less?
