Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav and his spouse Radha Yadav have publicly addressed the emotionally taxing weeks that followed his interim bail in a significant cheque bounce case involving Rs 9 crore. The actor was released from Tihar Jail on February 17 and promptly journeyed to his native Uttar Pradesh with Radha, choosing to remain near family as the judicial proceedings advance.
'The Most Difficult Part Was Being Away from My Family'
Reflecting on his incarceration, Rajpal Yadav confessed that the separation from his loved ones was the most burdensome aspect. "The most difficult part was being away from my family. Beyond that, I accepted the routine. I would wake up early and focus on breathing exercises and maintaining mental balance," the actor revealed in an interview with Hindustan Times. Regarding the legal matter, he affirmed that it has consistently been managed through proper channels. "This matter has been ongoing for many years. I believed it was right to handle it legally."
Echoing this composed approach, Radha Yadav stated, "Every possible legal and respectful option was explored. Sometimes resolution is not just about willingness, it also depends on timing," suggesting the couple is navigating the situation methodically and with patience.
Prioritizing Family Immediately After Release
Instead of making a public appearance, Rajpal Yadav opted to attend his niece's wedding in Shahjahanpur right after his release—a moment he describes as profoundly significant. "After my release, I went straight to my niece's wedding in Shahjahanpur and was grateful to be with my family. Being around loved ones in that moment meant a great deal after a difficult phase."
While the couple did not specify names of industry peers who may have provided financial or emotional backing, Rajpal expressed sincere appreciation. "I am grateful for the love and goodwill I have received. What stayed with me most during this phase was the faith of people: audiences, colleagues, and well-wishers. For someone like me, respect, time, and being heard matter more than anything else."
Radha added, "Support, when it comes, is received with gratitude. Many people reached out with concern and encouragement. We are thankful for every gesture, whether public or private."
Respecting Judicial Process and Anticipating Professional Return
As the case continues, Rajpal Yadav emphasized his commitment to adhering to all legal directives. "I will continue to respect the court and comply with every direction. I have maintained the same stand from the beginning and will allow the legal process to take its course." He acknowledged that the episode has temporarily disrupted his filming schedules but remained hopeful about resuming work. "Work schedules may fluctuate temporarily but I will resume work gradually and responsibly. Acting has been my life for many years, and I remain committed to it."
