Sara Arjun's Journey from Dhurandhar to Euphoria
Actress Sara Arjun captured millions of hearts with her beauty and talent in the hit film 'Dhurandhar'. Now she is making her mark in the Telugu film industry with Gunasekhar's upcoming project 'Euphoria'. The actress became a household name after the massive success of 'Dhurandhar', but acting was not her original plan.
From Study Plans to Film Offers
In an exclusive conversation, Sara Arjun shared her initial career intentions. She said, "My initial plan was to pursue further studies in acting at Lee Strasberg after boarding school." The actress, who entered the entertainment world as a child star, had different aspirations as she grew up.
Things changed dramatically for Sara after 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' released. She explained, "But after the release of 'Ponniyin Selvan 2,' many offers began coming in." Despite wanting to continue with her Strasberg plan, two particular films caught her attention.
"Even though I wanted to continue with that Strasberg plan, two films, 'Euphoria' and 'Magic', truly stood out because of the subjects they explored and the issues they addressed," she added.
Choosing Stories That Matter
When asked what made her accept these movie offers, Sara gave a thoughtful response. She replied, "These were stories that I felt needed to be told in our society, stories that could spark conversations and reflection. So beyond the hunger of an actor to perform, I felt, on a human level, a deep urge to be part of bringing these narratives to the screen."
The actress emphasized the relevance of these themes for contemporary youth. She mentioned, "For today's youth, which I am a part of, I feel these themes are not just relevant but essential. That is why we chose to do these films first, and then continue with my plan of pursuing further studies in acting abroad. But life had other plans."
Surprising Chronology of Film Signings
Sara Arjun revealed a lesser-known fact about her career timeline during the conversation. She shared, "I have always been hungry for challenging, extraordinary roles and strong stories. For me, that is the most important thing. Everything else comes after. It's the kind of work that pushes me, shapes me, and allows me to grow as an artist."
The actress then disclosed an interesting detail about her film signings. She revealed, "Chronologically, I actually signed 'Euphoria' before 'Dhurandhar' was even on my horizon." This surprising fact shows how her career path unfolded in unexpected ways.
