Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna starrer 'Cocktail 2' hit the cinemas today, June 19. The film received an 'A' certificate from the censor board, prompting a viral video of Shahid addressing the issue.
This is Shahid's fifth 'A' rated film after 'Kaminey', 'Udta Punjab', 'Kabir Singh', and 'O Romeo'. In the video, from a fan interaction, Shahid questions why 'Cocktail 2' got an adult certificate, emphasizing the film has no objectionable content.
Shahid said, "There is nothing in this film that would offend you. I know we got an 'A' certificate; I am figuring out why. I did not understand. This film is a story of three people, suitable for everyone. I hope you walk out with a big smile, thinking about life. There are many moments in life that make it special, and Cocktail is a film that reminds you of that."
He also expressed gratitude to fans for their love and support. Directed by Homi Adajania and co-written by Luv Ranjan, 'Cocktail 2' is a spiritual successor to the 2012 hit 'Cocktail', which starred Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan, and Diana Penty.
