Daughter Issues Legal Notice Over Father's Portrayal
Hussain Ustra's daughter, Sanober Shaikh, has sent a legal notice to the film's makers. She demands Rs 2 crore for allegedly portraying her father without proper consent. Sanober Shaikh spoke exclusively to NDTV about her concerns.
"We have only sent a notice so far," she explained. "The reason is simple. In the teaser and promotional videos, my father's entire image appears. His look, his style—everything matches him exactly. That's why we sent the notice. But the filmmakers deny this. They claim it's neither a biopic nor a documentary."
She further elaborated on her family's distress. "As more videos emerge and more details about the film surface, the resemblance becomes clearer. Everything seems to mirror my father. As a family, and especially as a daughter, this situation troubles us deeply. It's creating problems within our family."
Release Plans and Star-Studded Cast Remain Unchanged
Despite the legal controversy, 'O'Romeo' maintains its original release schedule. The film will hit theaters on February 14 as planned. The star-studded cast features several prominent actors alongside Shahid Kapoor.
