Amol Parashar has revealed that real doctors responded strongly to 'Gram Chikitsalay' because the Prime Video series authentically portrayed the daily struggles of rural healthcare workers. The actor, who plays Dr. Prabhat—a young doctor striving to revive a struggling Primary Health Centre in the village of Bhatkandi—shared that the reaction from medical professionals helped him understand how closely the show resonates with doctors who have served in rural postings.
Amol Parashar on Real Doctors Reacting to 'Gram Chikitsalay'
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Parashar spoke about the response to 'Gram Chikitsalay' ahead of Season 2, which premieres on Prime Video on June 23, 2026. The actor emphasized that the audience reaction mattered deeply, especially from doctors who saw parts of their own lives reflected in Dr. Prabhat's journey.
Parashar called the response “eye-opening” and noted that many doctors related to the character’s frustration, responsibility, and determination to keep working despite a strained system. He said the messages from medical professionals stayed with him because many had faced similar conditions in real life. The actor shared that doctors told him they had worked with “limited resources” yet still showed up every day because patients depended on them. This, he added, made him see Prabhat’s journey as more than just a fictional arc.
