Avika Gor, widely recognized for her roles in popular television shows like 'Balika Vadhu' and 'Sasural Simar Ka', has recently made a significant life change. According to the latest reports, the actress has purchased a house in Bangkok alongside her longtime partner, Milind Chandwani. In a recent interview, Gor opened up about the reasons behind this major shift and reassured her fans that her move abroad will not impact her work in Indian television and cinema.
Why Avika Gor and Milind Chandwani Moved to Bangkok
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Gor explained why she and her husband decided to relocate to Bangkok. She stated, 'We have moved to Bangkok and even bought a house there, which I have been setting up according to my taste.' The actress revealed that the decision was driven by better work opportunities for Chandwani, as well as a mutual agreement between the two.
Gor emphasized that their relationship has always been built on mutual support. 'If I get a project that takes me away for months, he supports that completely. Similarly, I don't think I should stop his growth either,' she said, adding that their supportive dynamic has helped strengthen their bond. The couple has been together for approximately seven years and officially tied the knot in an intimate ceremony last September.
Will the Move Affect Her Career in India?
When asked whether shifting to Bangkok would affect her work in India, Gor clarified that she does not need a base in Mumbai to continue working in the Indian film and TV industry. She asserted that the move will not hinder her career in any way. On the work front, Gor is set to appear on the reality show 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' and will be traveling for the show.
She added, 'The priority will always be my commitments because those are the things that made me who I am today.' Gor also noted that her family and friends have been supportive of her decision, and she believes there will be no obstacles in her professional life. 'When someone wants to work with me, they should make that effort,' she concluded.
