Speaking at the Barnstable Brown Gala, Birkhead revealed that the 19-year-old is forging her own path in life, focusing on her education and personal interests.
Dannielynn Birkhead Opens Up About Her College Life
Dannielynn, who is now a college student, spoke about her academic pursuits. She disclosed that she is majoring in forensic science and considering a double major in culinary arts, driven by her love for baking. "I'm majoring in forensic science. I might double major, possibly, in something regarding culinary, because I love baking," she said.

Her father, Larry Birkhead, expressed his unwavering support for her decisions. He noted that while many people expect Dannielynn to follow in her mother's footsteps in the entertainment industry, she is currently exploring her own interests. "I'm excited for her to just follow any path that she wants. A lot of people want her to follow in her mom's footsteps — and she's thought about that, and maybe she might switch back to that one day — but right now, she's kind of wanting to do her own thing with the forensics and the criminal studies," Birkhead said.
Overcoming Challenges and Achieving Goals
Birkhead also reflected on his daughter's journey, comparing it to a horse race. "You know, it was a little bit of a struggle to get across the finish line, like these horse races, but she got the steam at the end, and she pushed it across. She did a great job. So I'm proud of her in every way," he added.
Dannielynn is the only daughter of Larry Birkhead and Anna Nicole Smith, who passed away on February 8, 2007, due to an accidental combined drug intoxication. The teenager's current focus on academics marks a distinct path from her mother's legacy in the spotlight.
