Gaurav Khanna to Face Fears on Khatron Ke Khiladi

After back-to-back victories on Bigg Boss and MasterChef India, actor Gaurav Khanna is now stepping into the high-risk world of Khatron Ke Khiladi. The actor admits that this move was not something he had initially planned. “I never thought I’d do Khatron Ke Khiladi in the first place. But I knew that I had to do it once in my life. I never planned that it would happen immediately after Bigg Boss. But when it came, I was like, let’s do it,” he says.

A Pattern of Risk-Taking

For Gaurav, taking risks is not just part of the game, but a pattern that has shaped his entire journey. “I have always faced my fears and taken risks. Coming to Mumbai with no plan and becoming an actor without any godfather was a risk I took. I’m very connected to my roots, and that’s what keeps me going in life,” he shares. This mindset has helped him navigate the uncertainties of the entertainment industry, and now it prepares him for the physical and mental challenges of Khatron Ke Khiladi.

Confronting Fears on the Show

The actor is well aware of the challenges that the show presents. “It’s a game full of stunts, full of your inherent fears, which you have to overcome. I think I’m going to be my biggest competitor, because the mind is going to play with me first. If I can control my mind, that’s half the battle won. I have normal inhibitions, but that’s the fun — you step out of your comfort zone,” he explains. Gaurav emphasizes that the real battle is internal, and mastering his own thoughts is key to success.

Crediting a Mentor

Gaurav also credits Faizal Shaikh, also known as Faizu, for nudging him towards reality television. “He told me during MasterChef that I should do Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi. He felt I could do it even before these shows came to me. So I’m looking forward to this journey. I’m not looking at who the other contenders are — my main contender is my mind,” says Gaurav. With this focused approach, he aims to conquer his fears and emerge stronger.
