Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and BJP state president K. Annamalai have expressed their heartfelt condolences on the passing of actor and racing driver Ajith Kumar's mother, Mrs. Mohini Mani.

In a social media post, Chief Minister Stalin wrote: 'Dear brother Mr. Ajithkumar, I am deeply pained to learn about the demise of your mother, Mrs. Mohini Mani. I have no words to console you, who are grieving the loss of a mother who gave you life and rejoiced in seeing you achieve great heights. Om Shanti.'
BJP State President's Condolences
BJP Tamil Nadu president K. Annamalai also expressed his sorrow, stating: 'The news of the passing of actor and racing driver Mr. Ajith Kumar's mother, Mrs. Mohini, due to old age, is deeply saddening. In this time of grief, I extend my heartfelt condolences to Mr. Ajith Kumar and his family.'
Mrs. Mohini Mani passed away on May 30, 2026, at the age of 78 due to age-related ailments. She was the mother of two sons, Ajith Kumar and Anil Kumar, and was known for her support of her son's career in the film and racing industries.
Ajith Kumar, one of Tamil cinema's most popular actors, has often credited his mother for his success. He took a break from his film commitments to be with her during her final days.
