Monika Agnihotrie credits mother for acting career

Actress Monika Agnihotrie, currently portraying Lajwanti in the television show Mahadev & Sons, has credited her mother Vandana Agnihotrie as the strongest pillar behind her acting journey. Born and raised in Varanasi, Monika developed a passion for acting through school and college cultural activities. However, it was her mother's unwavering support that gave her the courage to pursue acting professionally.

Mother's Role in Her Career

"I was passionate about acting since childhood, but it was my mother who truly trusted me and encouraged me to follow my dreams," Monika shared. "Moving to Mumbai wasn't easy, but my mother always stood by me. She helped me stay calm, positive, and strong during difficult phases. I owe my acting career to her."

Reflecting ahead of Mother's Day, the actress became emotional while speaking about the bond she shares with her mother. "I feel there is no relationship greater than the one between a mother and her child. No one else can give the kind of love a mother gives," she said. She added that her mother's values continue to guide her both personally and professionally. "She instilled work ethic, resilience, and strong values in me. She has always been my motivator and role model."

Current Projects and Balancing Motherhood

Apart from Mahadev & Sons, Monika is also currently seen in Himachal Se Olympic Tak Ka Safar, where she essays the role of Pushpa. In real life, she balances motherhood alongside her acting career. "I'm blessed with three children—my daughters Kanishka and Srishti, and my son Sankalp. They are all grown up and currently living in Delhi," she said.

Admitting that her hectic work schedule often keeps her away from them, Monika shared, "I may not be able to give them as much time as I want because of shoots, but whenever they come home during breaks, I make sure we spend quality time together. They have always understood and supported my passion for acting."

Monika has appeared in several television shows including Ek Mahanayak: Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Balika Vadhu, and Mere Sai – Shraddha Aur Saburi. She has also featured in films like Badhaai Ho and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.
