Adah Sharma's Marathi Debut
On Thursday, the actress made a surprising announcement: she will play the lead in director Shreyash Jadhav's upcoming Marathi film Gajra. Touted as a drama, the film recently began production.

Speaking about her role, Adah said, "The Marathi audience gave The Kerala Story so much love and support. I had promised them that I would do a film in Marathi. I think Gajra is the perfect debut for me in the language."
She added, "I studied Marathi in school, and I live in Maharashtra. I speak Hindi and Marathi, but to get the pronunciation and accent right, I will be taking the help of a teacher."

Director Shreyas Jadhav explained the casting choice: "We wanted an actress who could channel the innocence and fierceness required for this role with equal ease. Adah fits that requirement perfectly."
