Story
What would you do if you woke up in an aircraft washroom with no memory of who you are? The film opens with Satya's character in exactly this situation, piecing together his identity mid-flight. On board is fugitive tycoon Prajapathi, as mercenaries and covert agents trigger chaos. Agent Shivani Roy attempts to secure him, while a supposed blind doctor, Ved Vyas (Satya), keeps disrupting the mission.
Review
The film centers on a simple yet engaging hook — the search for identity — as Satya's character navigates confusion, danger, and shifting versions of who he might be. The first half leans heavily on comedy, with frequent fourth-wall breaks and absurd situations that generate consistent laughs. This portion works largely because the humor is allowed to breathe, without being weighed down by excessive plotting.
The confined setting of a flight adds a sense of urgency, while Rhea Singha's Agent Shivani Roy, tasked with securing Prajapathi, provides a steady counterpoint to the chaos.
However, the second half becomes increasingly convoluted, relying on a barrage of twists that begin to strain credibility. The narrative grows chaotic, often sacrificing coherence for surprise, which weakens the impact of its central mystery. What begins as a curious identity-driven story turns into an overcomplicated thriller that tests patience.
Satya remains the film's biggest strength, particularly in the comic stretches where his timing and screen presence shine. Rhea Singha holds her ground with a composed performance, while Vennela Kishore and Viva Harsha are reliable and contribute effectively to the humor. The supporting cast fits into the narrative without standing out significantly. While the action sequences are functional, they do little to elevate the film beyond its core comedic appeal.
Jetlee works best when it embraces humor, especially in the first half and parts of the climax, but falters when it leans too heavily on twists. Overall, the film is an uneven action-comedy that entertains in parts but struggles to hold together.
Verdict
Watch it for the humor; otherwise, it is a passable one-time watch.
