The musical journey of the upcoming Bengali feature film Nevermind has commenced with the release of its first song, Violet Bari. This soulful and evocative track has been written, composed, and sung by the renowned artist Rupam Islam.
The song provides audiences with a glimpse into the emotional world of Nevermind, a film that delves into themes of human connections, loneliness, memories, and unexpected encounters. Sharing his thoughts on the song, Rupam Islam said, “I had written a version of Violet Bari much earlier. But when it became a part of Nevermind, the song seemed to reshape itself in its own way, responding to the world and emotions of the film. I'm delighted that it has finally reached the audience, and I hope listeners find their own stories within it.”
Director Chaiti Ghoshal described the track as the perfect introduction to the film’s emotional landscape. She stated, “Violet Bari carries a sense of longing, warmth, and mystery that resonates deeply with the world of the film. Having Rupam da bring that to life has been incredibly special.”
Nevermind features an ensemble cast including Rituparna Sengupta, Amartya Ray, Anusha Vishwanathan, Subhasish Mukhopadhyay, Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee, and Subhrajit Dutta, among others. The story and screenplay have been penned by Samrat, Mitali Ghoshal, and Amartya Ray.
