Vadodara: In a tragic incident, an Ayurveda practitioner, Dr Jainesh Patel, fell off a moving train into the Mahi River and drowned near Fajalpur in the Nandesari police limits. The incident occurred on Monday while he was travelling from Vadodara to Anand.
Details of the Victim
Dr Jainish Patel, a 41-year-old BAMS degree holder, was married and resided in Anand. His sudden demise has left his family and the local community in shock.
Police Investigation Underway
Inspector B D Jadeja of the Nandesari police station stated, "A probe is on to ascertain if it was an accident or suicide." He further added, "We don’t know if he was travelling alone or was with someone. None of his family members were with him on the train."
The authorities are examining the circumstances surrounding the fall, including possible eyewitness accounts and CCTV footage from the train and nearby areas. The body has been sent for post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death.
This incident has raised questions about passenger safety on trains, particularly regarding the condition of doors and windows. The railway authorities have been alerted to ensure stricter safety measures.
