Bhupalpally: A 35-year-old anganwadi teacher tragically died after reportedly suffering a sunstroke in Budharam village, located in the Ghanpur mandal of Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, on Sunday morning. The deceased has been identified as Ch Latha, a resident of Budharam village. She was employed as an anganwadi teacher in the BC colony of the village.
Incident Details
According to available information, Latha had gone out on Saturday to distribute nutritional supplements to pregnant women and lactating mothers in the village. While returning home amid severe heat conditions, she reportedly fell ill. Family members discovered her unconscious at her residence and immediately rushed her to a local hospital for medical attention.
Medical Response
After evaluating her health condition, doctors referred her to a private hospital in Hanamkonda for advanced treatment on Saturday evening. Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to the effects of sunstroke while undergoing treatment on Sunday morning.
Police Statement
Ghanpur CI Ch Karunakar Rao stated that no complaint has been received from the family or any other party, and therefore, no case has been registered in connection with the incident. The authorities have not initiated any further investigation at this time.
This incident highlights the dangers of extreme heat conditions, especially for those working outdoors or in poorly ventilated environments. The community mourns the loss of a dedicated teacher who served the village's vulnerable populations.
