A 22-year-old man died by suicide in the Madiaon police station area of Lucknow on Friday night. Family members attributed the incident to prolonged distress over severe hair loss.

Victim Identified

The deceased has been identified as Salman Ali, son of Abid Ali, a resident of Beligard Road. According to police, his body was found hanging from a rope inside a tin-shed room on the top floor of his house. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and further investigation is underway.

Background of the Incident

Family members reported that Salman was hearing and speech impaired and had been struggling with rapid hair loss for quite some time. This condition reportedly caused him significant mental stress, leading to social withdrawal and reduced interaction with others.

On Friday night, Salman went to the room on the top floor. When he did not return for a long time, family members went to check and discovered his body hanging.

Police arrived at the scene, inspected the area, and initiated legal proceedings. Salman’s father is a gardener employed at Maharana Pratap Park, said Madiaon police station SHO Shivavand Mishra.
