Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday directed officials to ensure that every eligible and needy person is provided an Ayushman card so that nobody faces difficulty in getting medical treatment due to financial constraints.
During his second consecutive Janata Darshan at the Gorakhnath temple premises, the CM met around 200 people and listened to their grievances. Several individuals sought financial assistance for treatment of serious illnesses, prompting the chief minister to inquire whether they possessed Ayushman cards. He assured them that the government would extend full support for medical treatment and that no patient would be denied care because of a lack of funds.
Officials present at the venue were instructed to ensure timely preparation of Ayushman cards for all eligible beneficiaries. The CM also stated that financial aid from the discretionary fund would be provided once hospital estimates are submitted. Moving among the people, the chief minister personally collected and examined applications before forwarding them to concerned administrative and police officials for prompt action. He directed officers to ensure fair, time-bound, and satisfactory disposal of all complaints and grievances.
