Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan, often hailed as the industry's 'Greek God,' celebrated his 51st birthday on Saturday, showcasing a physique that continues to inspire fitness enthusiasts. Known for his chiselled abs and ripped body, from his debut in 'Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai' to the upcoming 'War 2,' Roshan's dedication is legendary. While his intense workout routine is well-known, his personal chef has now shed light on the crucial role his disciplined diet plays in this remarkable body transformation.
Hrithik Roshan's Daily Diet: A Blueprint for Balanced Nutrition
In an exclusive revelation, Hrithik Roshan's personal chef, Shubham Vishwakarma, detailed the actor's eating habits. Contrary to popular fasting trends, Roshan believes in a balanced diet comprising protein, carbohydrates, fibre, and healthy fats. His strategy involves eating small, frequent meals throughout the day.
"Hrithik sir eats every 2.5 to 3 hours in a day. He finishes his day by 9 p.m. maximum. Then he fasts till the morning," Vishwakarma told Health Shots. This approach ensures a steady supply of nutrients for muscle maintenance and recovery.
Primary Protein Sources and Staple Foods
The 51-year-old actor relies heavily on non-vegetarian sources for protein, focusing on natural, whole foods. His plate regularly features white fish, eggs, chicken, lentils, rajma, and chickpeas. For essential fatty acids, his diet includes fish rich in Omega-3.
"I add eggs, chicken and fish for Omega-3 in his diet. Greek yogurt, oats and quinoa are also some of the staple foods we give him. Nuts and seeds are non-negotiables," the chef added, emphasising the focus on lean muscle gain and overall health.
Discipline with Delight: Hrithik's 'Healthy' Cheat Meals
Even a fitness icon like Hrithik Roshan enjoys indulging his taste buds, but he does so mindfully. His cheat meals are designed to be satisfying yet healthy, allowing him to enjoy them without guilt.
"Tandoori chicken. BBQ chicken. No carbs burger, and Jowar-based pizza. That's what sir likes - foods that satiate his taste buds, but is also mindful," revealed Vishwakarma. For comfort, however, the actor turns to classic Indian home food: moong dal, bhindi bhaji, Jowar roti, and a bowl of dahi.
What Hrithik Roshan Avoids in His Diet
Maintaining his physique also means being strict about exclusions. Despite being a healthy option for many, Hrithik Roshan avoids mushrooms. His chef confirmed the actor also steers clear of refined sugar, seed oils, and gluten to maintain his peak physical condition and overall wellness.
As Hrithik Roshan rings in his 51st year, his journey underscores that beyond gruelling workouts, consistent, balanced nutrition and smart food choices are the bedrock of lasting fitness and health, offering a sustainable model for his countless fans.
