Indore: A four-year-old boy suffered facial injuries after being attacked by a stray dog while playing outside his house in Mandsaur district's Shamgarh town on Friday morning. The incident occurred in Ward No. 9 around 11 am and was captured on a nearby CCTV camera.

Incident Details

According to family members, Ariz was playing with other children outside their home when a stray dog roaming in the lane suddenly approached them. CCTV footage showed three children sitting and playing on a cot when the dog grabbed the boy's trousers. As the child turned around, the animal lunged at his face, leaving him injured.

Medical Response

The family rushed the child to Shamgarh Civil Hospital. Relatives alleged that the anti-rabies vaccine was unavailable at the facility, forcing them to take the boy to Garoth Hospital for further treatment.

Residents' Concerns

The incident has triggered anger among residents, who say the number of stray dogs in the town has increased and similar attacks have occurred in the past.
