The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research in Puducherry is all set to host its 14th convocation ceremony. This important event will take place on January 20. Jipmer holds the status of an institution of national importance under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Union Minister to Grace the Occasion

Anupriya Patel, the Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Chemicals and Fertilisers, will preside over the ceremony. She will personally award degrees to the successful candidates. A total of 941 students will receive their degrees during this convocation.

Recognition for Academic Excellence

In addition to the degrees, the institute will honor 180 students for their outstanding academic performance. These students will receive medals and endowment prizes. The breakdown includes 83 undergraduate students, 90 postgraduate students, and seven super-speciality candidates.
