In a significant move to bolster healthcare initiatives, Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma inaugurated the two-day Knowledge Exchange Health Conclave at Falkland Park in Aizawl on Tuesday. The event was organized under the Mizoram Health Systems Strengthening Project (MHSSP) of the state's health and family welfare department, marking a pivotal step in enhancing medical services across the region.

During his inaugural address, Chief Minister Lalduhoma underscored that the state government views the health of its citizens as a fundamental cornerstone of overall development. Showcasing the Mizoram Universal Health Care Scheme

Lalduhoma highlighted the Mizoram Universal Health Care Scheme (MUHCS), describing it as one of the finest initiatives in the country. This scheme provides cashless treatment options through a network of empanelled hospitals, ensuring accessible and affordable medical care for residents.

Infrastructure Upgrades and Service Improvements

The Chief Minister detailed the government's efforts in significantly upgrading healthcare infrastructure throughout Mizoram. Key enhancements include:

  • Strengthening district hospitals to handle more complex medical cases.
  • Improving community health centres (CHCs) for better local access.
  • Upgrading primary health centres (PHCs) to serve as frontline facilities.
