When the roommate woke up around 7 am on Tuesday, Roshni was not in her bed, prompting a search. One of the girls discovered a locked bathroom on the third floor and, after peeping through the ventilator, saw Roshni lying inside. The police were immediately alerted, and an investigation was launched.

The deceased's father, Vantar Singh, a farmer, spoke to Roshni around 8:30 pm on Monday and reported that everything appeared normal during their conversation.
