The event occurred at Ojha's residence in the Poisar locality of Kandivali East. According to police reports, Ojha returned home from work around 4 pm on Monday. He worked for a prominent watch and luxury accessories brand at their Seepz outlet. After arriving home, he went into a room alone.
His wife and one of his two teenage children were in an adjacent room when they heard the sound of a gunshot. Rushing to check, they discovered Ojha with a grievous head injury, lying in a pool of blood. They immediately raised an alarm. Despite being rushed for medical attention, doctors pronounced him dead. The police confirmed he shot himself on the right side of his head with his licensed revolver.
Police Investigation and Family's Condition
Authorities stated that the motive behind this extreme step remains unclear, as no suicide note was recovered from the scene. Ojha's wife is reported to be in a state of profound shock and has not yet been able to provide a formal statement to the police.
In their quest for answers, the police plan to send Ojha's mobile phone for forensic analysis, hoping it might provide some clues or leads about his state of mind and the reasons that drove him to take his own life. An Accidental Death Report (ADR) has been officially filed in connection with the case.
