Varanasi Hospital Installs Coolers, RO Systems to Combat Extreme Heat
Varanasi Hospital Fights Heatwave with Coolers and RO Systems

Varanasi: As the city recorded a maximum temperature of 42.4 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, the extreme heat took a toll on people's health and energy levels. To provide relief, the SSPG Divisional Hospital has implemented several measures for patients and their attendants to beat the heat.

Cooling Measures Installed

As many as 14 water coolers have been installed in the hospital, ensuring clean drinking water for patients, their attendants, and those visiting the Outpatient Department (OPD). Additionally, nine Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems have been installed across various departments of the hospital to provide purified water.

Heatstroke Management

Hospital superintendent Dr. Brajesh Kumar stated that in view of the heatwave and rising temperatures, adequate shade has been provided to protect against heatstroke. A dedicated cold room has been established for the quick treatment of patients suffering from heatstroke. Patients affected by heatstroke are being admitted and treated appropriately in this facility.
