As soaring temperatures and increasingly erratic weather patterns become the new normal, fitness enthusiasts are finding innovative ways to stay active while beating the heat. More than 100 participants, ranging from children as young as five to senior citizens aged 65, recently took part in a high-energy Aqua Zumba session that combined exercise with relief from the sweltering summer.
The participants included doctors, medical practitioners, meteorologists and fitness lovers, all coming together to highlight the importance of adapting to a warming climate. Zumba expert Peu Majumdar led the session, demonstrating how water-based workouts can offer a safe and effective alternative to conventional outdoor exercise during extreme heat.
Beyond physical fitness, Aqua Zumba also promotes mental well-being, helping participants manage stress and fatigue associated with rising temperatures. As global warming continues to impact everyday life, water workouts are emerging as a refreshing and sustainable way to stay healthy and active.
