Dixit emphasized the urgency: "India has one of the highest incidences of gallbladder cancer globally, accounting for approximately 10% of total cases reported worldwide. Within India, certain states show particularly high frequencies of gallbladder cancer cases, with Odisha being among the most affected regions. This geographical concentration motivated our specific focus on this cancer type."

While previous studies have examined genetic predisposition factors that make certain populations more vulnerable to gallbladder cancer, this research takes a novel therapeutic approach. "This time, I am exploring the therapeutic angle to test whether homoeopathy drugs can effectively combat cancer," said Dixit, who has extensive experience researching various cancer types.
